Manual duplex printing on linux

This post aims at drafting a blueprint for future implementation in Ubuntu Linux.

Firefox: re-enable print and scale options from Print Preview

Firefox 3.0 stable default setup has these features disabled

direct printing from print preview
ability to zoom page before printing from print preview
ability to change printing page orientation (portrait/landscape)

all this can be achieved by setting string print.whileInPrintPreview in about:config as true
(this now defaults to false).

Installing VMware 6.0.2 and VMware Server on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04

Since Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 is not supported yet by VMware, and not supported at all by latest VMware 6.0.2 and VMware server we need some tweaking to make it install.
